The Journey on Relaxation exercise was very relaxing. It took me a little while to feel relaxed, but I eventually began to breath easier and slower while my hands, arms, and shoulders began to relax and feel full of blood that was transferred from my core. I enjoyed the warmth and rush of energy that coursed through my veins to my arms and hands, especially in my shoulders where I have some tendinitis issues. As I concentrated my thoughts on those areas, my hands and arms felt heavy and full. Once I began sending the blood back to my core, my hands and arms felt less full and began to feel very light as if they were floating.
This exercise was a wonderful relaxation recording that I plan to use again.

I agree, the relaxation technique was definitely calming. I thought the slow deep breaths were essential to "moving the blood". I became so relaxed that I almost did not want to stop! Great post, I look forward to more from you :)

I liked the Journey to Relaxation exercise. I felt that it did really help me to relax and feel less stressed. I would definitely use this after a long day at work. I think that it is very important to have a way to de-stress in today’s world. Thanks for your post. I think that you explaining the exercise very well.
ReplyDeleteI know that it helped me a lot after having a crazy week. I teach boot camps so most of my energy is directed towards others and not on me, so this was nice to take time for myself. Great details in explaining your experience.
ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteThis was my first real attempt at meditation and I wasn’t able to feel any of the symptoms that you described. Do you meditate regularly? Your description is very clear and it seems like this is not your first attempt at meditating. If it’s not, how long did it take you to get to this point?
